Application has failed to start because XINPUT1_0.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem

Application has failed to start because XINPUT1_0.dll was not found.

  • Reinstall Directx from the game CD
  • Insert the Jade Empire:  Special Edition DVD in the DVD drive
  • From the autplay menu choose 'Install Directx 9.0c
  • If the autoplay screen does not appear then double click on my computer then right click the DVD drive labelled 'Jade Empire' 
  • Choose Explore
  • Doubleclick on DXSETUP within the folder and follow the prompts to install Directx
  • Once Directx 9.0c is installed restart the PC and run the game upon restart
