[XBOX 360] Crash/Freeze on NBA 2K14


If you are experiencing freezes in NBA 2K14, it may be due to a corrupted title or roster update.  Please try the following: 

  1. First, load up your Xbox 360 and go to the Dashboard.
  2. Next, navigate to the storage device where you save NBA 2K14 game files by going to the Storage menu in the System section on the Dashboard (generally this is the furthest right option on the Dashboard in System category).
  3. Once in storage device's management screen, find and enter the section labeled "NBA 2K14." Find any files labeled "Settings" and "Sliders" and delete them. Also delete "Living Rosters," "NBA Today," "Online Game Data," and anything labeled "Home" if present.
    • Note: This procedure will not delete your Gamertag, Achievements or Save games.
  4. It is also worth clearing the cache on the 360 storage device as well to correct the issue, to do so use the following steps:
    • Press the Guide button on your controller.
    • Go to Settings, and select System Settings.
    • Select Storage or Memory.
    • Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller. (It doesn't matter which storage device you select; the cache will be cleared for all storage devices.)
    • Select Clear System Cache.
    • When prompted to confirm storage device maintenance, select Yes.
  5. Load the game after doing so to see if the fix cleared up the crashing and freezing, if it did not please feel free to submit a ticket to 2K Support.
