Hello all you world leaders, conquerors, and (possibly brutal) dictators!
The team has become aware that some Civilization: Beyond Earth players are receiving the following error message when they try to start up the game:
"SHgetknownfolderpath failed"
It seems that the cause for this problem is that the user's My Documents folder isn't in the default location. We are currently looking into this, but the good news is that you can restore your My Documents to the default location as a temporary workaround.
To restore My Documents to the default location, check out the steps listed out in Microsoft's knowledge base.
