As you're now aware, NBA 2K21 is coming to both the current and next generation of consoles (Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5). If you're at all confused about the pre-order bonuses for next-gen consoles, we wanted to make sure you understood both what's included and how redemption/refunds work. We’ve also included a handy breakdown of these bonuses at the bottom of this article.
The biggest pre-order bonus for NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition on the next generation of consoles is that you'll also receive a Standard Edition NBA 2K21 for the current generation. When you purchase NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X digitally, a digital copy of the current-gen version of NBA 2K21 will be added to the same PlayStation or Xbox account. It will be playable on your console once NBA 2K21 launches on September 4.
NOTE: Depending on the country of purchase and retailer, refunds may not be provided once you've consumed any pre-order bonus content and started playing.
In the physical purchase of NBA 2K21 Mamba Forever Edition, a code for your current-gen copy of NBA 2K21 will be included in the title's box. You have to wait to receive your physical copy before you can redeem the content and a digital copy of the current-gen game will be added to the same PlayStation or Xbox account.
