I have a full 2K Account, why do I need to update my settings to access game content?

2K follows region-specific guidelines regarding data collection and game access for younger gamers.

For players who are not old enough to create a full 2K Account themselves, we support creating a 2K Child Account which gives parents and guardians of younger players control over which in-game features or modes their child is allowed to access.

For players who are old enough to create a full 2K Account but are under 18, we may disable certain features by default but allow the player to make changes to control their own access.

How do I update my 2K Account settings?

If you try to access a disabled feature, you will be prompted in-game to update your account. Take the following steps to update your account for PGA TOUR 2K25:

  • By scanning the QR code or entering the activation code shown on-screen on portal.2k.com/device, you will be logged into your 2K Account.
  • Once in the 2K Portal, navigate to the game permissions section. There you can select the game(s) you wish to change your settings for.

What settings can I change on my account?

Examples of these settings include:

  • Online Play: Play online with other players
  • In-Game Store: Enables access to in-game stores or links to purchase premium content, including virtual currency (VC), downloadable content (DLC), or battle passes using real money
  • User-Generated Content Sharing: Allow creation and sharing of custom in-game content.
  • Voice Chat: Access to in-game voice chat with other players.
  • Text Chat: Access to in-game text chat with other players.

For some games the settings may allow you to restrict access to ‘Friends Only’ (users in your 2K Friends List)
