This error can occur when playing against another person online. The message will state that the opponent has been replaced with AI players and ask if you’d like to proceed.

Network hiccups like this are rare, but if you’re encountering them frequently, I’ve got some steps here you can follow to ensure you’re getting the most out of your internet connection:

  • Check if the other devices on your network can connect to the internet.
  • Make sure your console is connected to your router using an Ethernet cable, as this provides a faster and much more stable experience than Wi-Fi.
  • Perform a network connection test on your device to verify that you have no connection issues.
  • Finally, disconnect your router and modem from the power outlet for at least 60 seconds, then reconnect them.
