AP points are unable to be spent after spending 2700VC points to respec a MyPlayer in MyCareer.

Players who spent 2700VC to spec and after spending, they had no AP points to spend. Players had fittings equipped and the bonuses from these Fittings still applied to the AP points. The ability to spend the AP points appears to be greyed out.
