2K Online Services Status

At 2K we love how passionate our players are about our games and giving them the ability to enjoy the enhanced features made possible with an online connection is a priority for us. We’re always trying to create new and innovative ways to enjoy our games which means we’re constantly updating and improving the features and technologies that keep our games exciting for players.

As new titles are released and our online services and features evolve, players naturally transition over to our newer titles such that, as time goes by, continuing to run online services for both our newer and legacy titles becomes commercially unfeasible. That’s when we have to make the difficult choice about where to best dedicate our resources, and sometimes that results in having to retire certain online features for our legacy titles. Wherever possible, we endeavor to provide our players with advance notice of such retirement.

For some of our annual and bi-annual titles, we have a franchise roadmap laid out in advance so the retirement of a game’s online features and services is scheduled in advance based on historical information. Where that’s the case, we have set out the dates on which we currently expect the online features and services within such titles to be available until in the Online Services Details section set out below.

Forecasting the future is difficult - plans can change for any number of reasons and, as we always carefully consider the retirement of any title’s online features, this means these dates may be extended or brought forward. After the retirement of any online features or services within any of our games has been confirmed, we will update the Online Services Details section set out below with the relevant information and we endeavor, wherever possible, to provide advance notice of any such retirement.

Where the online services for a title are no longer available, the game and/or certain features may still be playable offline, however, any online features will no longer be available. We encourage you to refer to the Online Services Details section set out below for more specific details on the impacted features and services for the game you’re interested in.
