At 2K we love content creators and streamers, so we want to empower you to create great content while maintaining an inviting and inclusive environment for everyone within our community.
As a games publisher we’re thrilled and humbled that our franchises inspire so many. We’re happy for creators to use our IP to inspire their audiences too and we welcome your thoughts, opinions and constructive criticisms of our games and services. Our Rules of Conduct are here to help define what is and isn’t allowed as a creator within our community. The following Do’s and Dont’s are distilled from 2K’s published Terms of Service, our Code of Conduct for Fair Play, and our Copyright Policy, which we strongly encourage you to re-familiarize yourself with often, as we regularly update them. Above all, we expect all creators within our community to conduct themselves with civility, respect, and decency both inside and outside of our games.
Do’s
- Behave in a constructive, respectful and professional manner. Nobody likes a troll.
- Play by the rules. You can see our Terms of Service here, which includes a code of conduct that all players who play our games are expected to abide by. Our Copyright Policy can be found here.
- Be respectful and kind to others, especially other players and creators.
Don’ts
- Don’t harass other players or creators. This includes, but is not limited to, sexism, racism, hate speech, sexual harassment, threats, doxing, mobbing and verbal abuse of any kind inside or outside of our games - none of these things belong in the world and they’re absolutely not welcome in our community.
- Don’t threaten or attack the company or any of its employees. That includes development teams and our parent company, Take-Two. Remember we are living, breathing human beings who are trying to do a good job, just like you.
- Don’t encourage your community to act negatively or cause harm towards any other creators, the company or any of its employees. This is another example of social responsibility to use your influence over others in a positive way.
- Don’t violate any copyright or trademark of 2K or any of our third-party partners.
Consequences:
A breach of any of the Rules of Conduct could result in the following action:
- Investigation by 2K Staff and Take-Two Interactive security team
- Referral to Social Platforms for Copyright or Licensing Infringement Action
- Removal of/from 2K distribution lists and programs, in-game logos, face scans, mayorship, any 2K owned Discord servers and platforms, and termination of any talent agreements
- Temporary or Permanent In-Game Bans
- Permanent Device Ban on 2K Accounts associated with a device
- Claims or takedowns of your content and/or strikes against your channels on YouTube and Twitch, which could result in the ban of your account on those platforms
- Referral to Law Enforcement for Legal Action
Determination of whether a player has breached our Rules of Conduct is at the sole discretion of 2K.
If you witness, or are on the receiving end of, any of the above-mentioned points on our Don’ts list, contact us at Support.2K.com and open a ticket.
